Swiss Engineering visits iDIP

Insights into the practice of the networked industry

How do SMEs create real advantages for the future? Swiss Engineering got to the bottom of precisely this question during its visit to iDIP.

On March 11, we welcomed around 20 engineers and gave them a practical insight into our world of digital industry. Instead of theoretical concepts, we focused on one thing above all: showing solutions that work in our customers' everyday lives.

The exchange focused on the iDIP platform. Using concrete examples, we showed how companies can digitalize their production step by step - flexibly, modularly and without complex large-scale IT projects. Our approach is clear: the software adapts to the process, not the other way around.

This is particularly important for SMEs. In our experience, the real added value of digitalization only arises when it becomes tangible - when clear decisions are made from data and individual systems become a networked whole.

What this means in concrete terms quickly became clear during the discussion:

  • More transparency about processes and data

  • more informed decisions in real time

  • Increased efficiency during operation

The visit once again confirmed what we experience every day in projects: Many companies recognize the potential of digitalization - but often lack an easy way to get started. This is exactly where we come in with iDIP. We make it possible to start small and develop solutions in a targeted manner without overburdening existing processes.

Conclusion: Digitalization is not a one-off project, but a continuous journey. Those who approach it in a structured way will create sustainable competitive advantages.
